MERCY MINISTRIES

Mercy Ships is engaging in the following mercy ministries projects:

Palliative Care

Project Goal: To show the love of God by giving practical care and support to people who are isolated because of terminal illness, and to their extended family.

Project Objectives: Provide palliative homecare in 25 cases for terminally ill patients who seek assistance from Mercy Ships. Support terminally ill patients and their family members through the grieving process. Train and assist family members in wound care. Empower the family to find ways to be self supporting and teach them about planning for the future. Mobilize the church and the community to support families who have terminally ill members, empowering them to continue providing palliative care.
